Triplet excitons in π-electron containing polymers (in English)

An overview of two decades of the studies conducted at the Kyiv Taras Shevchenko University on triplet excitation energy transfer in π-electron-containing polymers and copolymers with particular reference to poly(N-vinylcarbazole) group and its analogs, covering (i) the nature of phosphorescence of я-electron-containing polymers, (ii) generation of triplet excitons and their transfer dynamics; (iii) the mechanism of the elementary acts of propagation of T- and S-excitons; (iv) capture of T-excitons by molecular oxygen in polymers and (v) potential applications of results in nanoelecronics (macromolecular exciton rectifier) and photochemistry.
