A dynamic method for the determination of the adhesive properties of metal surfaces.
Part I. An outline of the method
The principle of the dynamic method for the determination of the adhesive properties of metal surfaces is based on the measurement of the adhesive strength on an in-situ formed metal - polymer bond. The construction of a special apparatus for that purpose was described and measuring procedure presented. A measure of the adhesive strength of a cured polymer layer is the force of its peeling from the sample surface. The peeling force together with the result of evaluation of the character of the bond failure serves for the characterization of the adhesive properties of the surface.
