Summary

A new method of gas-chromatographic determination of DMT, ethylene and diethylene glycols in a suspension, after completion of the depolymerization process, has been elaborated. The method is based on the extraction o f the above mentioned substances with a two-component chloroform-methanol solvent. The extract has been chromatographed in a glass column with the packing composed of PEG 20 M 10% on Chamolite CS 60-00 mesh, at a temperature of 180°C, a flame Ionization detector being used. As internal standard benzyl alcohol has been used.
