Summary

The results of studies on the structure and composition of anhydrous magnesium chloride prepared by a stepwise dehydration of MgCl2-6H2O have been presented. X-ray diffraction method has been applied for the characterization of crystallographic changes taking place Turing formation of the active form of catalyst in the process of milling anhydrous magnesium chloride with a TiCl4 · С6Н5СООС2Н5-complex. This milling is accompanied by a decrease of intensity of bands characteristic for MgCl2 and by appearance of an amorphous halo. The yield and index of isotacticity of polypropylene obtained with this catalysts have also been determined.
