Adsorption properties of the block-graft copolymer of poly(vinyl alcohol) with polyacrylamide.
Part. I. The dependence o f adsorption on the kind of adsorbent and solvent
The adsorption kinetics has been measured and the adsorption isotherms of a block -graft copolymer of poly(vinyl alcohol) with polyacrylonitrile from single and binary solvents onto carbon black and glass fibres have been characterized. It was demonstrated that the adsorption depends not only on the conformation of the macromolecular coils in thermodynamically different solvents (good, bad and Q-solvents), but also on the chemical affinity of the solvent to the adsorbent surface.
