Summary

The theoretical principles of the supercritical fluid extraction technique (SFET) have been discussed and the results of its application with the aim to decrease the acetaldehyde level in PET preforms presented. These preforms are used in blow moulding of mineral-water bottles. As supercritical fluid in SFET, carbon dioxide was used.
