Summary

The conductometric method has been applied to the assessment of the miscibility of some selected elastomer, systems. The investigations on polymer-polymer — carbon black systems have ; also been carried out .with the use o f an original potentiometric method. These studies have been concerned with butadiene rubber, random and block butadiene-styrene rubber, a series o f chloroprene rubbers, and a nitrile rubber. As a filler, the abrasion-resistant HAF furnace black has been used. On the basis o f the changes in resistivity versus the composition o f the blends, big differences in the miscibility have been observed due to intermolecular interactions.
