An influence of some technology factors on the activity of catalyst for the synthesis of polyurethanes

Polimery 1981, No 9, 340

DOI: dx.doi.org/10.14314/polimery.1981.340

Summary

An influence of concentration, temperature and molar ratio of reagents on the course of test catalytic reactions of polyester- or polyetherdiol with TDI was quantitatively determined. An influence of specified solvent was also given. The procedure of catalyst Introduction was tested. It has been found that short-time ageing of catalyst in polydiol before the addition of isocyanate accelerates the reaction while long-time ageing in different conditions gives the decrease of catalyst activity after several days.
