Summary

The main goal of this research was to develop antistatic polyethylene films with a surface resistance of ≤109 Ω. The research involved testing low density polyethylene/linear low density polyethyl­ene (PE-LD/PELLD) filled with various amounts of expanded graphite EG 096. The samples were made by hot pressing and injection molding. Mechanical and electrical properties were tested. The research results show that samples with a content of 30% by weight of expanded graphite are characterized by good mechanical properties, e.g. Young’s modulus of the filled PE was higherby 195% compared to pure polyethylene.
