Application of mathematical models to the studies on changes in the structure
of vulcanizates during deformation
By changing deformations of filled vulcanizates it has been observed that their physical properties, e.g. complex dynamic modulus, are also changed. Under taking into account the mathematical models of generalized Newtonian liquids and the previously elaborated own models of filled vulcanizates, a quantitative evaluation of the observed changes has been attempted. These models have also been used in a preliminary manner to the assessment of the structural changes in vulcanizates during deformation and a good agrement with the experimental results has been observed. Thus, the changes in modulus of the intermediate (adhesive) layer as a function of deformation and its effect on the rubber reinforcement could be evaluated.
