Application of optical and electron microscopy for the investigation of the structure of polymer-bituminous compositions
The application of optical and electron microscopy for polymer bituminous compositions on the basis of literature data and author's own practice was discussed. The optical microscopy is the simplest method of evaluation of structure and homogeneity of these compositions. The electron microscopy has, however, contributed considerably to the development of theory concerning structure and interactions between components of these blends and to the interpretation of optical microscopy and applied research results.
