The basic relationships in an integral form for the determination of kinetic parameters, i.e., activation energy, order of reaction and pre-exponential factor, for processes of thermal degradation of polymers by means of some thermal analysis methods,i.e., thermogravimetry (TG), differential thermal analysis (DTA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), were presented. The way of calculation of kinetic equations containing a non-infinitesimal integral and the most commonly used approximations were demonstrated. Methods based on arbitrary chosen experimental points and their associated errors were distinguished. The essential importance of computer processing in fast computation with taking into consideration a series of contributing factors was also presented.
