Summary

Charge storage mechanism in poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVAL) and poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) (PVP) polyblend polymer films was studied using thermally stimulated depolarization current (TSDC) technique. The blend was studiem in weight proportions of PVAL:PVP as 25:75, 50:50, and 75:25. Only one TSDC maximum was observed in all three samples. The maximum was attributed to homo type space charge polarization with little contribution from dipolar orientation. The PVAL:PVP 25:75 sample showed maximum polarization.
