Summary

Synthesis of methylmethacrylate (MMA) complexes with AlR3 or EtnAlCl1-n has been investigated, viz. influence of reaction conditions (including the type of complexing compound, initial molar ratio Al/MMA and ageing time of the complex) on the yield of copolymerization of the MMA complex with ethylene in the presence of organometallic Ti-Al catalysts. The results, based on IR spectrophotometry of reaction products of MMA with organoaluminium com­pounds, have been discussed. Some characteristics of MMA-ethylene copolymers have been included.
