Summary

By the method of differential thermal analysis, the activating effectiveness of some diisocyanates and of the corresponding carbamide derivatives of caprolactame in the process of anionic polymerization of caprolactam has been compared. The catalyzing system most advantageous in the process of polymerization by the RIM (reactive injection moulding) method has been selected. It is composed of 0.3 mole % of bis(2-methoxyethoxy) aluminium-sodium dihydride (Synhydrid initiator) and 0.35 mole % of N,N'-hexamethylene-dicarbamido-bis-caprolactam (activator).
