Dielectric relaxation in cation-exchange membrane

Polimery 1980, No 11, 407

DOI: dx.doi.org/10.14314/polimery.1980.407

Summary

Dielectric relaxation of cation-exchange membrane prepared by sulfonation of polyethylene film (PE) has been studied as a function of frequency In the range 1.2·102 — 3·106 Hz and the temperature interval of 80—393 K. Two regions of polarization relaxation with maximum tgi and E" values i.e. processes of α and β dielectric relaxation have been discovered. The latter corresponds to dipole-group relaxation (activation energy ΔE = 8.4·103 J/mol).
