Summary

A small-angle laser light scattering diffractometer designed and built at the Industrial Chemistry Research Institute was described. It was used for the determination of structural dimensions of radial spherulites in typical crystalline polymers (PE, PP, PET) and of ringed spherulites in polyethylene adipate) (PEA). It was found that differences in values of the average radius of spherulites and of ring spacing determined at the Industrial Chemistry Research Institute and, for comparison, at the Technical University in Warsaw (using diffractometer constructed in its Chemical Department) were within the limits of error.
