Summary

Characteristic data are given on principal starting material groups (diisocyanates, oligoether oligools, oligoestrols, catalysts) used to synthesize isocyanate groups-carrying urethane-type quasiprepolymers to serve as water-curable chemically reactive components of polyurethane-fibrous substrate composites. Authors' own studies are summarized, concerned with curing of quasiprepolymers (Tables 1-5) and of polyurethane-knitted fabric composites based on these quasiprepolymers (Tables 6-9) in relation to catalyst type and catalyst quantity. Eight catalysts were examined; di(diethylene morpholine) ether proved to be the best catalyst.
