Elaboration of a manufacturing process of lubes for subsurface irrigation and of straight
and spiral capillaries from thermoplastic materials for dropping irrigation. RAPID COMMUNICATION (in English)
A brief characteristics of tubes extruded from plasticized PVC in a manufacturing process developed at the Industrial Chemistry Research Institute was presented. These tubes are an essential element of the sursurface irrigation system in hop and cauliflower plantations. There were also developed and patented processes for manufacturing straight capillaries with any suitable internal diameter and length from PE-LD and of spiral capillary microtubes from hard PVC and PP. These tubes are being tested in installations for dropping irrigation in greenhouse-cultivated beds.
