Electrical conductivity of polymers modified with conductive powders

1985, No 10, 381

DOI: dx.doi.org/10.14314/polimery.1985.381

The electrical behaviour of polymers modified with conductive powders has been characterized. The methods of manufacturing such compositions, their current-voltage characteristics, ;emperature dependence of conductivity and theoretical models used for their characterization have been presented. On this background, the specific electrical properties of compositions comprising polyester resin and acetylene carbon black have been discussed. Their specific feature is a low critical carbon black concentration, at which an abrupt increase in the conductivity of the system is observed.
