Epoxide resins with reduced inflammability from chlorobisphenols-derivatives of chloral

The synthesis and properties of diglycidyl ethers and epoxide resins prepared in the reaction of epichlorohydrin with 2,2-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)-1,1,1-trichloroethane or with 2,2-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)-1,1-dichloroethylene or with a mixture of these chlorobisphenols and Bisphenol A have been presented. The work on implementation and applicatlon of flame-resistant epoxide paints and glass-reinforced lamlnates as well as on the crosslinking of diene rubbers with diglycidyl ethers and epoxide resins based on chlorobisphenols has also been discussed.
