Extrudability of recycled polyethylene contaminated with chemical fertilizers
The results of studies on the effect of type and amount of contamination with chemical fertilizers (urea, ammonium nitrate, nitro-chalk and granulated superphosphate) on the extrudability of recycled polyethylene obtained from fertilizer-bag film have been presented. The extrudability has been evaluated by the mass intensity of flow and the screw torque. The extrudate quality has been evaluated by means of melt flow index values and the Barus effect.
