Extruders for the recycling of waste thermoplastic materials
Polimery 1997, No 1, 14
The reported and the Author's own results have been used to compare modem extruder plasticizing systems in the recycling of industrial, agricultural and urban waste thermoplastics with particular reference to mixing processes occurring in single – and twin – screw extruders. Recycling experiments involving thermoplastic scrap blends have shown the extrudate's mechanical properties tobe related not only to blend formulation but primarily to the geometrical screw design.
