Summary

A general characteristics of two types of extrusion lines developer at the Industrial Chemistry Research Institute was given. These lines serve forextrusion of rods with a diameter up to 2 0 mm or with a diameter in the range of 20–60 mm. It is possible to produce rods with a smooth surface and without internal blisters and caverns from partially crystalline polymers (polypropylene, polyamides).
