Gold and Silver at Geneva 2015

43rd International Exhibition of Inventions (Salon International des Inventions) was held on 15-19 April, 2015, Geneva.

Industrial Chemistry Research Institute presented four Inventions – all of them had been granted medals.

"Phenol-formaldehyde resins free from toxic monomers" (authors: Dr. Izabella Legocka, D. Sc., prof. of ICRI; Dr. Elżbieta Wardzińska-Jarmulska, Ewa Wierzbicka, M. Sc., Chem. Eng.; Michał Krzyżewski, M. Sc., Chem. Eng.) received Gold Medal with Mention.

Silver Medals were also granted at Geneva International Exhibition of inventions:

"A method of producing poly(phenylene oxide) with predetermined controlled molecular weight" (authors: Dr. Zbigniew Wielgosz, Chem. Eng.; Dr. Regina Jeziórska, D. Sc., Eng., prof. of ICRI; Janusz Stasiński, M. Sc.; Sebastian Firlik, M. Sc., Chem. Eng.). The invention received special award from the Romanian Ministry of Education and Scientific Research;

"Bio-based acrylic monomers - demo plant" (authors: Professor Jacek Kijeński, D. Sc., Chem. Eng.; Dr. Antoni Migdał, Chem. Eng.; Lidia Lewicka, M. Sc.; Ph. D. Małgorzata Jamróz, Chem. Eng.). It also received special award of University Stefan cel Mare (Romania) and FIRI award for the best invention (Iran);

"Bioagent based on halloysite as a fertilizer and protection measure for plants" (authors: Dr. Irena Grzywa-Niksińska, Chem. Eng.; Dr. Izabella Legocka, D. Sc., prof. of ICRI; Małgorzata Machałowska, Alicja Kowiecznikow).

The Institute was represented by: Managing Director Dr. Regina Jeziórska, D. Sc., Eng., prof. of ICRI; Dr. Zbigniew Wielgosz, Chem. Eng., and Dr. Antoni Migdał, M. Sc., Chem. Eng.
