How Does the polymer chain Influence the Pholophysical Properties
of p-(N,N-dimethylamino)benzoate Residue (in English)
Esters of p-(N,N-dimethylamino)benzoic acid display dual fluorescence. The intensity and structure of this fluorescence depend on the properties of solvent.The attachment of p-(,N-dimethylamino)benzoil acid residua to the polymer chain causes a number of differences in the spectroscopic properties of the luminescent molecules. The Total fluorescencje quantum yield(fg) is high er for the molecule attache to the polimer chain. The observed differences result both from an increased local viscosity as well as from the change of microenviro nmental solvent parameters. Presented results allow to describe the properties only quantitatively, but indicato the possibility of a quantitative analysis of the changes taking place in polymeric solutions.
