Identification of antioxidants and accelerators in rubbers by TLC-method with the use of Sandwich-type chambers
It has been found that the values of RF-coefficients in TLC of many standard samples of typical accelerators and antioxidants used in the rubber industry, obtained with the use of Sandwich-type chamber do notdiffer significantly from the corresponding values obtained in traditional chamber. The values of RF-coefficients of these substances determind during analysis of methanol extracts of vulcanizates differ very slightly from those values obtained for standards, what is due to the complex composition of the extracts and to the presence in them of other components with similar values of RF-coefficients. The application of Sandwich-type chambers makes the consumption of eluents many times lower than that in traditional chamber.
