Influence of temperature on the anionic polymerization of caprolactam initiated with
bis-(2 -methoxyethoxy) aluminium sodium dicaprolactamate
The initiation activity of bis-(2-methoxyethoxy) aluminium sodium dicaprolactamate in the anionic polymerization of caprolactam in the presence of N-acetylcaproIactam and toluilene-2,4-diisocyanate as activators has been investigated. Polymerization reaction has been carried out at a temperature below melting point of the polymer being formed, it is in the range of 160—180°C. The influence of the polymerization temperature on the rate of this re action and the supermolecular structure of polymer has been studied. It Has been found that the higher is the temperature, the sorter is the duration of polymerization re action and the longer is the period of crystallization induction and time of crystallization of polymer. Size of spherulites in polyamide-6 increases with an increase in the polymerization temperature.
