Influence of trans-polyoctenoamer additive on the energy consumption during compounding
and on the properties of rubber compounds
It has been found that the consumption of energy during preparation of rubber compounds is considerably decreased if natural or butadiene rubbers are replaced by trans-polyoctenoamer (Vestenamer 8012, the commercial product of Hüls) in the range of 5—20 pph of rubber. Additionally the confectional tackiness and tensile strength of non-vulcanized compounds are increased, as well as some mechanical properties(e.g. the wear resistance).
