Summary

It has been found that the consumption of energy during preparation of rubber compounds is considerably decreased if natural or butadiene rubbers are replaced by trans-polyoctenoamer (Vestenamer 8012, the commercial product of Hüls) in the range of 5—20 pph of rubber. Additionally the confectional tackiness and tensile strength of non-vulcanized compounds are increased, as well as some mechanical properties(e.g. the wear resistance).
