The results of the thermal properties testing (thermal diffusivity and conductivity) of tire rubbers used in industrial practice were presented. The modified Ängström method used in these measurements and the microprocessor- controlled testing equipment built by the Authors were described. The repeatability of measurements was evaluated. Considerable differences in the values of thermal diffusivity and conductivity of tested tire rubbers were observed – they were attributed to differences in specific heat and density of rubbers.
