Summary

Linear polyurethanes prepared by polymerization in bulk or in chlorobenzene solution from raw materials mentioned in the title have been fractionated in a dioxane-water system using the succesive precipitation method. Whole samples and fractions have been characterized by the GPC and 1H-NMR methods. It has been found that these polyurethanes are characterized by broad molecular weight distributions and their fractions differ additionally in the chemical structure. The lower the molecular weight of a fraction, the lower is also the content of structural groups deriving from polyoxypropylene glycol and tolylene diisocyanate and the higher that from aromatic oligoetherdiols. This regularity has been observed both for the in-bulk and in-solution polymerized polyurethanes.
