Investigation of weathering resistance of self-extinguishing glass-reinforced PET

Polimery 1988, No 1, 27

DOI: dx.doi.org/10.14314/polimery.1988.027

Summary

It has been demonstrated that both artificial and natural weathering does practically not change tensile load at break, notchless impact, oxygen index and cracking resistance of PET reinforced with 30% glass fibre and containing 5% red phosphorus as flame retardant. Relative elongation at break of this product chan ges slightly after weathering. It has been found that 6 months of natural weathering are equivalent to 500 h artificial weathering.
