Summary

The course of isoprene polymerization with a Ni-containing catalyst of the type: alkoxynickel/BF3. OEt2/AlEt3 has been investigated. The effect of polymerization conditions for various Ni : В : Al molar ratios on the yield and microstructure of polyisoprene has been characterized. The kinetic analysis of the results of isoprene polymerization with the Ni-containing catalyst studied, led to the kinetic equation -dM/dt = 2,6 x 10-3[I]·[M]. It has been found that only 5.4% of Ni-atoms in the catalyst takes part in the formation of active centres.
