Linear addition polymers and telechelic prepolymers from primary amines and diglycidylether

On the example of a model system of diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (DGED — aniline, the course of- the poly- addition reaction of DGED with primary amines have been investigated. It has been found that when using a strictly equimolar ratio of substrates, linear macromolecular polyaminoalcohols are formed. In the case of an excess of one of the substrates, telechelic oligomers are formed. When DGED is used in excess, oligomers have glycidyl end groups, and when an amine is used in excess — secondary amino groups. The structure of these products has been determined by the methods of elemental analysis, NMR spectroscopy, GPC and HPLC. The molecular mass and glass transition point of a series of polyaminoalcohols prepared from DGED and more than ten amines of different Che­mical structure have also been determined.
