Polimery 1990, No 3, 61

DOI: dx.doi.org/10.14314/polimery.1990.061

Summary

Kinetic conditions to be met in living polymerization have been characterized and a classification of various polymerization processes from this point of view has been presented. The possibilites of appearance of living polymerization mechanism in anionic polymerization of vinyl monomers and polar monomers have been discussed in detail. In particular, the synthetic feasibility of group transfer polymerization has been presented, this type of polymerization being observed in the case of methacrylates. Much attention has also been paid to the problem of reducing activity of active centres, in particular according to the activated monomer mechanizm.
