Low-pressure ethylene polymerization in the presence of catalysts obtained from phenoxyl-derivatives
of titanium and sesquiethylchloroaluminium
The effect of the structure of catalysts of the type [Ti(OPh)nCl4-n + Al2Et3Cl3] (n = 0—4) on their activity in the process of low-pressure ethylene polymerization and on the kinetics of this polymerization has been Investigated. The mechanism of the effect of the number of phenoxyl ligands (n) in the titanium-component of the catalyst on the rate constants of the elementary reactions, molecular mass of polyethylene obtained and constants characterizing catalyst activity has been elucidated.
