Methods of synthesisand properties of fluorine-containing ion–exchange membranes
A literaturere view concerning the synthesis of fluorine-containing ion-exchange membranes has been presented. Four groups of methods have been distinguished: copolymerization of perfluorinated olefins with perfluorovinyl ethers containing ionogenic groups Or their precursors; grafting of fluoropolymers with fluorine-free monomers containing an ionogenic group or its precursor; physical blending of thermoplastic fluoropolymers with hydrocarbon polymers containing an ionogenic group Or its precursor; a direct introduction of anionogenic group into a fluoropolymer. Nation membranes have been characterized in detail.
