Summary

A computer model has been developed for starve fed single-screw extrusion with non-conventional screws. Simulation and experimentation for extrusion of PE-LD/PS blend have been carried out. Non-conventional screw equipped with Maddock shearing element has been applied. Melting of polymer, pressure, temperature profiles screw filling have been simulated and validated experimentally.
