Summary

Mechanical and physical properties of EPUR were studied in relation to crosslink density and aromatic hydrocarbon used as plasticizer. The plasticizer was found to act simultaneously as water repellent. The synthesis route affected the resulting elastomer properties. The elastomers containing 20 wt.% of the modifier were found suitable for use as long-duration flexible and adhesive sealants for constructions, provided fuels were kept away.
