Polimery 1991, No 2, 54

DOI: dx.doi.org/10.14314/polimery.1991.054

The results of experimental work in the world during the last ten years concerned with the preparation of new components of the vulcanization systems, such as retarders, vulcanization accelerators, cross-linking agents, and antireversion agents, have been presented. The problems of toxicity of these compounds, in particular of cancerogenic N-nitrosoamines formed during vulcanization, have been discussed. The methods of reducing losses of antidegradants during use of the rubber products, nonconventional methods of increasing the ozone resistance of vulcanizates as well as new non-staining antiozonants have been discussed. The first efficient thermal stabilizer for butadiene polymers and copolymers Sumilizer GM has been presented.
