Summary


The results of studies on the synthesis of an epoxide resin of the Epidian 2 type have been presented. These studies aimed at the manufacture of a new type of epoxide impregnant with commercial name of Epidian 202 designated for the manufacture of copper-clad glass-fibre reinforced epoxide laminates used in printed circuits in electronics and electrotechnics. It has been demonstrated that the processing characteristics of the impregnant and the useful properties of the final product (laminate) depend mainly on the content of organically bounded chlorine in the initial epoxide resin.
