Summary

Several novel models of viscous liquids, which can be regarded as modifications or extensions of the Carreau model, are presented. These models describe the viscosity curves as functions of shear rate in the transition region between Newtonian and power law flow. Models were adapted for the description of viscosity as a function of shear stress and generalized to describe more complex behaviour, e.g. pseudoplastic-dilatant.
