Optical and electrical properties of pure and iodine moped poly(vinyl butyral) (PVB) films from the UV-Visible spectroscopy and the electrical conductivity data are reported. Conductivity was measured as a function of field strengths and dopant concentrations. Band gap of the material was evaluated from optical data and activation energy was calculated from conductivity data; it was found that both are correlated.
