Physicochemical properties of polyamidc-6 materials modified by grafting (in English)

The results of investigations on the effect of grafting poly(acrylic acid) (PAA), poly(itaconic acid) (PIA) and poly(2-vinylpyridine) (PVP) on moisture sorption, water swelling, and electrostatic and antisoiling properties of polyamide-6 materials were presented. A considerable improvement in these properties was observed for PAA- and PIA-grafted materials additionally treated with sodium carbonate and for PVP-grafted materials treated with 3-bromopropionic acid. Hygroscopicity was increased, soiling capacity reduced, and also electric resistance lowered by several orders of magnitude.
