Summary

A polarographic method of the determination of aluminium and titanium has been developed. With this method it is possible to determine simultaneously the kontent of these elements in a mixture of these compounds without their previous separation. Additionally, the concentration of Ti3+ and Ti4+ can also be determined simultaneously. Analysis is carried out in a water-alcohol medium in the range of potential from 0 to —2.0 V and in the system of electrodes: dropping mercury electrode — saturated kalomel electrode. As electrolyte, a 0.1—0.5 n solution of CaCl2 in 95-per cent methyl or ethyl alcohol is used.
