Polycondensation of diphenols with sulfur chlorides. Part I. Polycondensation of hydroquinone with sulfur dichloride
The effect of the molar ratio of substrates and of the presence of AlCl3 as a catalyst on the molecular mass and sulfur and chlorine content in the oligomers formed Turing the polvcondensation reaction of hydroquinone and sulfur dichloride has been investigated. The structure of these oligomers has been characterized by the IR- and NMR-methods and the course of polycondensation discussed on the basis of these results.
