Part VII. Oligo(β-aminoethyl)aminoamides
Basing on previous work the course of polycondensation of polyethylenepolyamines with acids, HOOC(CH8)nCOOH, where n = 2–4. 5 and 8, has been discussed and the conditions of crosslinking of polyaminoamides during the synthesis established. It has been found that the reactivity of secondary amine groups under the reaction conditions is similar to that of primary groups. Basing on the concentrations computation, kinetic studies and structure of intermediate products, a scheme of the reaction has been suggested. It has been found that the products of reaction are polyaminoamide resins of low molecular weight with β-aminoethyl side groups.
