Polyethylene film with prolonged thermooxidative resistance

Polimery 1993, No 12, 588

DOI: dx.doi.org/10.14314/polimery.1993.588

The aim of this work was the elaboration of polyethylene film with an enhanced resistance against oxidation at elevated temperatures. This was a typical technological work. Various formulations of stabilized polyolefin films (PE-LD/PE-LLD blends) were investigated in the aspect of preparation of film with a prolonged thermooxidativc resistance. Films were tested under accelerated ageing conditions and the tensile strength and elongation at break of films before and during test as well as after 23 weeks of ageing were determined. Formulation for full-scale film manufacture was established and film manufacture started.
