Summary

Acrylates have been polymeryzed on matrices built of two non-condensed naphthalene structures, each of them containing a hydroxyl group in position 2. In dependence on the type of monomer either ladder polymers with molecular mass of about 1 · 104 (esters of acrilic acid) or their mixture with a prevailing amount of low-molecular-mass products of internal cyclization (esters of methacrylic acid) have been obtained.
