Summary

Basing on the literature data as well as on the results of own research, the possibilities of using isocyanic acid, HNCO, for ecologically harmless syntheses of organic diisocyanates by addition of this acid to vinyloxy group of some ethers have been discussed. Suggestion has been made on the application of latest works of American, German and Japanese authors for the conversion of aromatic monoisocyanates into their di- or polyfunctional analogues. It has been pointed out that due to the presence of oxygen„bridges" in their molecules, the new diisocyanates will introduce into polyurethane resins additional Romains of flexible segments and thereby increase flexibility of these materials.
